Organic fertilizer FERTISOL becomes part of fertilizer plan in test fields in Uganda
This year a trial field has set up in Uganda where the organic fertilizer FERTISOL is used as part of the fertilization plan in the cultivation of various crops. FERTISOL will be included as one of the fertilization products in the fertilization plan. The aim of the trial field is to closely monitor the growth of the crops and what the contribution of organic fertilizers will be to the soil and ultimately the yield of the crops.
The field trial with organic fertilizer FERTISOL
On a field of tomatoes, grains and maize, different fertilizers are used with the aim to see how the fertilizers relate to the crops and what happens in terms of the growth of the different crops. The team of scientists supervising the trial spread FERTISOL over the fields (between 1,200-1,500 kg per ha).
Up from next week, the germination process will start and the scientists will closely monitor the growth (mature of leaves, stems and further growth of the crop). Mr. Mathias Nsubuga of Lacoste International says they will look at the maturity stages of the leaves and stems and ultimately the complete growth of the plant that makes up the crop. The coming period will show what FERTISOL will mean for the crops. Komeco will keep you posted of further developments.
