Komeco is a Dutch producer of organic fertilizers and based in Dronten (Flevoland – The Netherlands). Due to the unique composting technique our organic fertilizers are not just fertilizers. The 100% natural, organic fertilizers offer a high quality and are mainly used as soil nutrition in the agricultural sector and in gardens. Komeco has its own brand FERTISOL what is sold in more than 40 countries worldwide.

The production and quality of our organic fertilizers require expertise and time. The composting process takes several days. This ensures a 100% natural, high-grade and weed-free organic fertilizer with high water retaining capacity that offers the right nutrients for the soil. The level of organic matter, N-P-K, calcium, magnesium and trace elements are together the perfect organic fertilizer, on which crops and plants root more deeply and grow bettter. From composting manure to organic fertilizer 
The raw material for our products is animal manure. Together with parent company GICOM, Komeco has developed an advanced biological composting technique which composts manure and creates an organic fertilizer. After composting the fertilizer will be pressed into a pellet and thus a 100% organic and biologically composted product is created. What is labelled as a residual product by many is converted into a valuable soil improver by Komeco. The composting technique creates fertilizers pellet of high quality compared to dried fertilizer pellets with certain advantages. Take a close look at all advantages at the colums on the right.

Komeco and GICOM

Komeco is part of GICOM, a family owned company from The Netherlands with more than 40 years of experience in composting systems and climate technique for residual products. GICOM has developed the composting technique, with which organic fertilizers can be realised in a biological and sustainable way. In addition GICOM realises drying systems for the food industry and GICOM Metalworking designs and produces all kind of Metalworking products and semi-finished products. Every product or installation is developed inhouse and produced in The Netherlands.

The benefits of Komeco’s composted organic fertilizers

  • WEED-FREE

    By heating (60° C)  the raw materials for a longer period, the weed seeds, germs, unwanted fungi and bacteria are completely killed. Nutrients remain intact and there is only a small loss of nitrogen.

  • NO LEAF OR ROOT BURNING

    Composting ensures the ammonium to be converted into a more stable form nitrogen. This nitrogen is released slowly, eliminating the risk of leaf or root burning.

  • HIGH MOISTURE-ABSORBING CAPACITY

    Composting provides an organic fertilizer pellet with a high moisture-absorbing capacity (up to three times its own weight).

  • NEUTRAL ODOUR

    Composting neutralises the odour and makes the end product an almost odourless pellet.

  • ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

    The raw material is animal manure without any additives. Our organic fertilizers are 100% natural and environmentally friendly.

  • SLOW-RELEASE

    The nutrients in our fertilizers will be released slowly and not all at once. This is good for both soil and plant and ensures a regular flow of nutrients.
